Mothers Day - The Mother Who

  Introduction Although it's often called Mother's Day in the UK, it has no connection with the American Mother's Day. Mother's Day in the US  is celebrated on the second Sunday of May each year. The idea started in America when a woman called Anna Jarvis held a small memorial service for her own mother on 12 May 1907.  Soon after, most places in America were observing the day and in 1914, the US president made it a national holiday, celebrated on the second Sunday of May. .  Lots of other countries celebrate Mother's Day at different times of the year as well.               The history of mothers day The real story of Mothers Day in US began with the efforts of a dynamic writer and  poetess,  Julia Ward Howe in 1872 . An activist to the core Julia utilized her potentials to further the cause of Mothers Day. She wrote a powerful Mothers Day Proclamation in Boston in 1870 and demanded declaration of official holiday and celebrations on Mothers Day.      2022 MOTHERIN

Introduction   Families come in all shapes and sizes and often change suddenly without warning (pretty much like anything in life). The term ''single parent'' is used in a negative fashion and is mostly directed at mothers and not fathers.
